Could you write the idioms that are mentioned?
Hi Alison, the idiom is 眼高手低 (yǎngāo shǒudī).
Literally: “Eyes high, hands low.”
It means: Your goals are too high, but your ability is too low. You want to do big, great things, but you can only do small, simple things.
E.g.
学汉语的时候,别眼高手低。先学好HSK 2,再想HSK 6!
Xué Hànyǔ de shíhou, bié yǎngāo shǒudī. Xiān xué hǎo HSK 2, zài xiǎng HSK 6!
When learning Chinese, don’t be “eyes high, hands low.” First master HSK 2, then think about HSK 6!
I’m writing this review immediately after getting my latest test score back, which showed a significant improvement. The structure of the four videos followed by targeted writing practice is what made the difference.
These exercises tested my comprehension of the vocabulary and grammar from the videos.
I like the quiz part! My score is 63%, so I need to watch the videos again…
Looking forward to more updates.
