1 Basic Command Patterns

In Chinese, commands are used when ordering someone to do something. There are two main ways to form commands:

  1. Simple Verb Commands – Using just a single verb
  2. Adjective + 一点儿 + Verb Commands – Adding an adjective to specify how the action should be done

Commands in Chinese often end with an exclamation mark (!) to emphasize the imperative tone.

Normal Statement

你过来。
nǐ guòlái.
You come here.

The exclamation mark adds urgency or emphasis.
