The 从…到… (cóng…dào…) structure is used to indicate movement or transition from one point to another. It can be used with both place words and time words.

Spatial Movement with Place Words
When used with place words, 从…到… indicates physical movement from one location to another:
Temporal Duration with Time Words
When used with time words, 从…到… indicates a period from one time to another:
北京 (Běijīng)
from Beijing to Shanghai
西安 (Xī’ān)
from Xi’an to Beijing
上海 (Shànghǎi)
from Shanghai to Guangzhou
